Eugène Labiche (1815-1888), dramaturge, membre de l'Académie française.

Lettre autographe signée, « 21 février », 1 p in 8. Lettre relative à une de ses pièces écrite conjointement avec Alfred Delacour*, auteur prolifique, avec qui il collabora à de nombreuses pièces de théâtre (près d’une trentaine de collaborations).

« […] je vous en effet promis un acte pour la fin de mars. Mon collaborateur Delacour doit me remettre son travail dans 8 jours. Je m’y mettrai immédiatement et j’espère vous livrer la pièce à l’époque promise. Je vous remercie de vous souvenir de mes promesses. Je ferai tous mes efforts pour que votre bon souvenir ne soit pas une imprudence. On soignera l’ouvrage ! […] ».

* Alfred Delacour, pseudonymes de Pierre-Alfred Lartigue (1817-1883), dramaturge et librettiste.
