delcampe is still a great venue and mybe the best on line the lack of managment is a good thing it does work here

We are so sarcastic ,but its true nobody loves the Delcampe.co.uk.We are left alone and write what we think is correct.More often than not a Usa citizen mucks inBut never mind its still better than Ebay.

yes, you did. but without answering his question i might add. is delcampe associated with ebay, i don't think so. however, with the ads presented between the forum messages, one would wonder if the site was affiliated with ebay or not. and the name 'ebay' certainly does come into the discussions daily, but usually in a negative connotation e.g. high fees, etc. we can be grateful to sebastien for keeping his fee structure to a bare minimum and costs low. and in the over 6 years i have been here, this is exempliary.

I am new, you know. I'm not on the delcampe staff. It would take someone on the delcampe staff to give a really definitive answer as to whether there are any financial connections, unless it is a commercial secret, which it might well be.

For example, delcampe might be 49% or 51% owned by eBay, but how would you expect me to know ?

If you have been here long enough to get 626 feedbacks, you should know that much better than I do and set a good example, like Cajunsr seems to do on the whole. It was you who had suggested otherwise, but what you write can be ambiguous owing to your punctuation.

On the other hand, if delcampe was associated with eBay we wouldn't necessarily know. In Britain, some people eat Green and Black's ORGANIC chocolate rather than mass-produced Cadburys, favouring this brave new little company. Most of them have no idea that Green and Black have belonged to Cadbury for some time. This was a cynical (and very successful) attempt by Cadbury to capture the business of people who are disillusioned with big companies like them .

I'm not saying that eBay are doing this with delcampe, but they might be.
Personally, I believe that delcampe is Belgian and independent.
